ARTISTS' GUILD MEETING PROGRAMS
Meetings at the Church of the Annunciation
Holmes Beach, 6:30PM
Monday, May 5th, 6:30pm
Whittling enthusiasts take heed: the May meeting of the Artists' Guild of Anna Maria Island will be about decoys and duck carving!
This will take place May 5th at the Church of the Annunciation, 45th St. and 2nd Ave., in Holmes Beach, with social hour at 6:30
and the program beginning at 7pm.
Bruce Weaver began his career on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, starting with violin repair, then building boats and furniture and
eventually moving on to the fine art whittling ducks and decoys. He will bring some of his decoys, tools, and wood blanks and go
through the entire process of carving the birds, as well as some painting techniques. The program is free and open to the public.

Food and Wine on Pine donates a portion of the proceeds from the event to island non-profits. This year the
non-profits that benefited from the generosity of the Chiles Group decided to help one of their
own and donate all of those checks to the Anna Maria Island Community Center. Pictured above are:
