OUR MISSION
The Artists' Guild of Anna Maria Island, an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 non profit organization, was formed in 1989 by the late Genevieve Novicky Alban with the mission:

"to promote and support creative processes by bringing together all Artists - visual and performing and writers – to share experiences, expertise and work together to develop and promote the artistic community. "

Our all-volunteer membership—approximately 150 artists and supporters of the arts—arrange exhibits, shows, and other means to further local art in the community. Our art gallery, the Guild’s largest program, has 50-plus displaying artists and one Manatee County high-school student’s artwork on display each month. Since 1989, these artists--Guild members—collectively show, sell, and run our nonprofit gallery, and serve as ambassadors for art in the community.

Artists’ Guild of Anna Maria Island education chairperson Donna Grossman presents a check for $300 to Principal Maribeth Mason and Ms.Mayra Ocasio-Cuadrado of Samoset Elementary School.
The funds will be used to purchase supplies for a new mural entitled “Embracing Mother Earth”. Third ,fourth and fifth grade students will turn a plain courtyard and turn it into place of beauty.
The “G” in AGAMI not only stands for Guild, it stands for Giving. For thirty years, the Artists’ Guild has been granting scholarships, funding school projects and giving back to the community in countless ways.
